The peak of the hot weather, Wednesday, is caused by tropical air masses.

Starting Friday, temperatures will begin to drop nationwide, with Cairo experiencing a substantial drop of 9°C during the daytime.

On Saturday, Cairo and the Nile Delta are set to enjoy warm weather with highs of 30 degrees and lows of 17, reported the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

In the North Coast, including Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh, temperatures will fall below the 30-degree mark, returning to a high of 20s and a low around 16.

The scorching heat in South Sinai, home to the charming city of Sharm El-Sheikh, will range around 35 for the highs and 24 for the lows on Saturday, with a possibility of further improvement by the end of next week.

Upper Egypt, home of the ever enchanting Luxor and Aswan, is currently experiencing temperatures above 40. Cooler weather is expected over the weekend.

In the northern parts of Upper Egypt, warm weather is forecast with highs of 32 and lows of 20 on Saturday. The southern parts will remain relatively hot with highs of 36 and lows of 24.

This is not everything. the EMA anticipates moderate, yet thunderous, rainfall on parts of the Red Sea Mountains, South Sinai, and central and south Upper Egypt starting Friday.

During the current heatwave, the EMA advises staying hydrated by consuming cold fluids and minimizing exposure to direct sunlight.

Beware of dusty winds blowing in many areas across Egypt, the Nile Delta, and north Upper Egypt, at least on Wednesday.

Fortunately, public and private sector employees in Egypt will enjoy a paid holiday on Thursday to celebrate Sinai Liberation Day, making outdoor activities more manageable, especially in the evening.

If you need to go outside during daytime, remember to wear a cap and choose light clothing, as the mercury levels remain high.
