El-Sisi's directives came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam.
The meeting was also attended by the President’s Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed El-Azazy, and Executive Director of Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development Colonel Bahaa El-Ghannam.
According to the Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy, the meeting reviewed the agricultural development projects in Fayoum, Minya, and Beni Sueif; it also reviewed the “Sanabel Sono” project in Aswan and the Dakhla project in Southern Egypt.
Fahmy added that these projects align with the state's aims to provide high-quality agricultural products to the local markets at affordable prices, thus increasing exports, ensuring food security, protecting the state against international fluctuations, and increasing the national income.
