Warm weather Friday followed by cooler temperatures Saturday in Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted a temperature surge in much of Egypt this Friday before cooling down on Saturday.



According to the EMA, winds are expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern Upper Egypt, the North Coast, and the Western Desert from Friday to Wednesday.

Temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt are expected to rise to 34 degrees in the morning and 21 degrees at night.

In South Sinai, the temperature will reach 37 degrees during the daytime and 25 degrees during the night.

Those heading to the North Coast should expect a cooler temperature of 26 degrees for the highs, and lows of 18 degrees.

Northern Upper Egypt will experience higher temperatures of 39 degrees in the morning and lows of 23 degrees in the night.

Meanwhile, Southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 41 degrees and lows of 26 degrees.

The EMA has further cautioned about potential disruptions in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea on Friday, where wave heights are expected to reach 2 to 3 metres.
