Nights are expected to be moderate, the EMA added.
The EMA advised everyone to take necessary precautions to cope with the rising temperatures.
This includes drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding direct exposure to the sun during peak hours, and keeping updated with the weather forecast during this heat wave.
Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs of 37-39 degrees and lows of 23-24 degrees through Thursday.
South Sinai will see highs of 38-40 degrees and lows of 25-27 degrees.
The North Coast should expect highs of 29-35 degrees with lows of 21-22 degrees.
North Upper Egypt governorates, from Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Minya, will experience highs of 40-42 degrees in the morning, and lows of 24-26 degrees in the night.
Meanwhile, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea governorates in southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 41-43 degrees and lows of 27-28 degrees.
