Diarna exhibition 67th round launches under theme ‘Egypt speaks handicrafts’

The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced Monday the launch of the 67th annual round of Diarna exhibition for handicrafts at Marina 5 in the North Coast, with the theme “Egypt Speaks Handicrafts.”

The event is held under the auspices of the Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and is scheduled to last until the 5th of September.

The exhibition comprises 400 exhibitors, showcasing their local handicrafts. These handicrafts include carpets and rugs, stained and mosaic glass, palm products, cotton textiles and furnishings, silver accessories, wooden and copper products, leather, and perfumes.

There are also environmentally-friendly heritage products and micro-products produced by productive families, production cooperatives, and the Mastura project financed by Nasser Social Bank, in addition to the rural and environmental industries development fund and the products of the cooperative alliance.

The exhibitors are participating over three periods: the first extending until the 25th of July, the second from 26 July to 15 August, and the third from 16 August to 5 September, marking the end of the exhibition.

The exhibition offers many services, including the performance of a daily draw for three lucky visitors with a prize worth 1000 Egyptian pounds for each winner.

Other means of facilitation include the availability of several payment methods to visitors and ATMs and free WIFI for exhibitors and visitors.

Diarna exhibition is considered one of the largest exhibitions in Egypt for handicrafts since 1964. It hosts artisans from all over Egypt to support the creative economy, enabling them to reach new markets and achieve direct sales opportunities.
