Thanaweya Amma students granted one-week extension to apply for faculty aptitude tests

Thanaweya Amma students have been given a one-week extension to submit their applications to take faculty aptitude tests until Monday 12 August, as per a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Tuesday.

These aptitude tests are mandatory for students to qualify for admission to specific faculties they aspire to join.

The Ministry allows students to submit their test preferences through the electronic portal round the clock until the evening of 12 August.

The website will continue to accept requests from Egyptian Thanaweya Amma students for the year 2024, enabling them to schedule their tests until the evening of 12 August.

The results of the 2023-2024 Thanaweya Amma exams were unveiled on Tuesday, showcasing a pass rate exceeding 81%, the highest in the past five years.

The new academic year 2024/2025 for universities and institutes is set to commence on September 28, 2024.

The first-term exams are slated to begin on January 4, 2024, with the mid-year vacation starting on January 25, 2025.

  1. Faculties of Applied Arts at the universities of (Helwan - Damietta - Benha - Beni Suef - Tanta)
  2. Faculties of Physical Education (for males and females)
  3. Faculty of Music Education and Art Education in Zamalek (Helwan University)
  4. Faculty of Art Education (Minia University)
  5. Faculties of Fine Arts (Art - Architecture)
    1. Art at the universities of (Helwan - Alexandria - Minia - South Valley - Mansoura - Assiut - Luxor)
    2. Fine Arts Architecture at the universities of (Helwan - Alexandria - Minia - Mansoura - Assiut)
