113,000 Thanaweya Amma students submit college preferences on Monday in first phase of Tansik
To be eligible for the first phase, students should have achieved at least 90.48 percent in the science section, 87.07 percent in the mathematics section, and 68.29 percent in the literature section.
A total of 113,200 students with the highest exam scores will participate this year in the first phase, which will run until 16 August, 7pm.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that results will be released later this week.
Students can submit their university preferences online 24/7 through the Tansik website. They also can use university computer labs, which will open from 9am to 3pm daily.
Additionally, the ministry has provided a list of computer lab locations nationwide, with Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour pledging full support for students using the Tansik platform.
This year, over 726,648 students sat for the high school exams, with 590,992 passing and 69,984 failing, according to the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
The results of the 2023-2024 Thanaweya Amma exams were revealed on Tuesday, with a pass rate exceeding 81 percent, the highest in the past five years.
The new academic year 2024/2025 for universities and institutes is set to commence on 28 September 2024.
