This came during the president’s visit on Tuesday to the Military Academy to follow up on ongoing exams for students applying to join the Egyptian Military Academy.

The president instructed the relevant bodies to pay adequate attention to modern technological sciences and artificial intelligence (AI) and prepare Egyptian youth to actively engage in this important sector.

The president announced that the Military Academy is ready to accept talented computer science graduates who pass the necessary exams into a two-year educational master course designed to prepare them for the workforce.

"We are prepared… to have a percentage of them with us this year," he stated.

He directed that the deadline for receiving applications for the targeted courses be extended for an additional week to give more space to graduates wishing to enrol.

He said the academy is ready to accept over 2,000 university graduates or newcomers for each batch.

He highlighted the importance of coordinating with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and telecommunications companies to prepare graduates within an internal education system that contributes to maximizing their potential.

El-Sisi said training and language courses used to take four or five years. However, in this track, the study will be intensified to take only two years, during which students will learn new languages, such as English, French, and German, besides their major area of study.

The state and the armed forces will implement this system for the benefit of university graduates who enjoy these talents and skills, considering the need to take the steadily growing number of potential enrolees.

“This year, we are expected to announce the admission of 2,000 to 2,500 students who will be tested and will receive a master’s degree during a two-year study," President Sisi said.

He noted that graduates will also enjoy training and employment opportunities, which will be made available in partnership with the MCIT and the companies engaged in the ICT industry.

The president noted graduates from this course will have opportunities for high-paying jobs, earning between EGP 40,000 and EGP 60,000 per month or even more.
