These weather conditions are anticipated to reduce visibility on some roads, leading the EMA to advise citizens to avoid areas near street lighting poles and billboards, wear face masks, and stay indoors if they have sinus or respiratory issues.
Additionally, they are urged to ensure windows and doors are properly sealed and to drive carefully to prevent accidents.
The warning also entails potential disruptions to maritime navigation in Marsa Matruh and Alexandria, with wind speeds ranging from 40 to 50 km/h and waves expected to reach two to three metres.
EMA has also urged the public to exercise caution due to the expected disturbances in maritime conditions.
Meanwhile, the wind activity is expected to continue on Thursday, particularly in the western desert areas and regions, such as Marsa Matruh and Alexandria.
Winter is here!
Egypt is experiencing a gradual temperature drop as the winter season officially begins on 21 December.
These cooler conditions will continue until next Monday, with light-to-moderate rain forecasted for the northwestern coasts and northern Nile Delta on Friday.
From Wednesday to Monday, the weather will generally be cool during the day in Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt. Meanwhile, South Sinai and the deep south will experience milder temperatures.
At night, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with freezing conditions likely in agricultural areas of northern Upper Egypt, central Sinai, and parts of the western desert.

Cooler temperatures
Daytime temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt will reach 20°C on Wednesday, gradually decreasing to 18°C by Monday.
Nights will be even cooler, with temperatures between 10°C and 11°C.
Along the North Coast, daytime temperatures will range from 17°C to 18°C throughout the week. Nights will bring a further chill, with temperatures dropping between 9°C and 10°C.
In Northern Upper Egypt, daytime temperatures will vary between 21°C and 18°C.
Nights will be notably cold, with temperatures dipping between 4°C and 5°C, especially in the early hours.
The deep south will experience relatively moderate temperatures during the day, peaking at 23°C on Wednesday and gradually decreasing to 20°C by Monday.
However, temperatures will drop significantly at night, ranging from 6°C to 9°C.
