Videos circulating on social media showed submerged vehicles and flooded lanes on the Cairo–Sokhna road.
Satellite images on Sunday indicate continued chances of moderate and thundery rainfall over parts of the eastern Mediterranean, the Suez Canal cities, and the Gulf of Suez.

Daytime highs on the northern coasts will range from 23 to 31 degrees, while nighttime lows will fall to 18 degrees by Friday.
Daytime highs in Northern Upper Egypt will reach 27 degrees on Sunday, peaking at 37 by the weekend. On the other hand, nighttime lows will be between 15 and 19 degrees.
However, temperatures will remain hot in Egypt's deep south, with daytime highs of 31 to 39 degrees and nighttime lows between 17 and 22 degrees.
