According to the ministry’s statement, the decision followed a meeting between Minister Abdel-Latif and the Board of Directors of the International Schools Association (ISA), which aimed to finalise preparations and ensure effective curriculum delivery.
On Wednesday, the ministry revealed that the 2025/2026 academic year for public, language, and private schools will commence on 20 September and continue until 11 June.
The academic calendar includes a mid-year break from 24 January to 5 February, with final examinations for various grades planned during January and May.
