Daytime temperatures are set to remain warm across much of the country, rising to hot levels in Upper Egypt and South Sinai, and becoming very hot in the far south.

Evenings will begin mild but are expected to turn notably cooler as the night progresses.

According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), scattered rainfall is forecast in several regions, with moderate — at times thundery — showers likely on Sunday and Monday in parts of northern Upper Egypt and the Western Desert.

Light to moderate rain is also anticipated overnight along the north-western coast and across the Nile Delta, with intermittent showers potentially extending into parts of Greater Cairo.

Further south, isolated light showers may occur in Halayeb, Shalateen, and surrounding areas.

Dense morning mist is expected across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, north Upper Egypt, central Sinai, and the Canal cities, which may significantly reduce visibility on some roads, the EMA cautioned.

Winds are also projected to be active across most regions from Monday through Thursday.

Sea conditions in the Mediterranean are forecast to be slight to moderate, with waves ranging between one and two metres driven by north-easterly surface winds.

In the Red Sea, waves are expected to reach between one and 1.75 metres, accompanied by north-westerly to north-easterly wind.
