According to a cabinet statement, under the new mandate, the Commission, as the sole operator of the digital window, will be electronically connected to all ministries and authorities to ensure that services and approvals are processed collectively through the unified platform.
Additionally, the Commission, in collaboration with state entities, will promote Egypt as an attractive destination for foreign production crews and offer incentives to attract large-scale global productions to Egypt.
The Commission's mandate includes securing script approvals, issuing filming permits, facilitating the entry and exit of filming equipment in coordination with the Customs Authority, monitoring on-ground production operations for foreign companies, resolving obstacles during filming, and providing logistical support to enable seamless operations.
The Commission will cooperate with relevant ministries and state agencies to provide the equipment, services, and personnel required to support foreign productions.
It will also publish a comprehensive catalogue of filming locations across Egypt on its digital window and outline all laws, regulations, and guidelines governing foreign filming activities.
According to the mandate, the Commission will recommend qualified Egyptian production companies to partner with international studios and nominate Egyptian technical talent for foreign productions.
It will accompany foreign production teams upon arrival and departure through all airports and ports, ensuring smooth transit and coordination with authorities.
Finally, the mandate obliges all state bodies to fully coordinate with the Commission to facilitate the procedures for foreign filming in the country.
