He was accompanied by Minister of Endowments Osama Al-Azhari, Grand Mufti of Egypt Nazir Ayyad, and a high-level delegation.

El-Tayyeb prayed for security, safety, and prosperity in Egypt, for both Muslims and Christians, and said the visit reinforced the sense of human brotherhood and national unity. He highlighted Al-Azhar’s efforts to promote citizenship and eliminate negative connotations associated with the term "minority groups," citing a recent international conference on the subject.

The Grand Imam also addressed global crises, urging world leaders to act with reason and human fraternity rather than force, and prayed for the end of unjust wars and conflicts that have caused widespread human suffering.

Pope Tawadros II welcomed El-Tayyeb and the delegation, saying the visit reflected strong bonds between Egypt’s Christians and Muslims. He prayed for people suffering in Sudan, Gaza, Yemen, and other conflict zones, and congratulated El-Tayyeb on his 80th birthday, wishing him health and continued success.

Both sides discussed the Egyptian Family House’s ongoing work and recent expansion across governorates, highlighting its role in combating sedition and extremism and the need to support its broader mission.
