16:45: Three reportedly injured in clashes between supporters of Ramy Lakah (Wafd) and Fady El-Habashy (NDP) in Shobra.

16:05: The nephew of NDP candidate Makram Radwan is injured in Beni Abeed after being attacked by knife-wielding supporters of Hassan El-Meir -- another NDP candidate running for the same seat.

16:00: Five hundred supporters of independent candidate Ammar Abou-Nekaya protest in Hawamdeia district against NDP candidates Ahmed Aboul Dahab and Mostafa Heiba accusing them of vote rigging.

15:46: Clashes between supporters of two NDP candidates Abdelnasser El-Gabry and Mohamed Abu Salib in the constituencies of El-Haram and Omraneya.

15:10: Clashes between supporters of NDP rivals Mamdouh Hosny and Amr Kamal in Ghorbal district, Alexandria.

15:04: Independent candidate Abdel Hakeem Shaddad withdraws from elections in Qaloubeya citing rigging in favour of NDP’s Mohamed Shedeed.

15:03: Clashes in Dakahleia between supporters of Mortada Mansour and NDP candidate Abdelrahman Baraka using knives and sticks.

15:00: Clashes in Atmida constituency of Dakahleia Governorate between supporters of NDP candidate, Khaled Mohamed Shalaby, and supporters of independent candidate, Nader Ibrahim.

14:56: Monitor denied entry to Ras El-Teen high school by the police. Accusations of mass vote buying in the Gomrok constituency on behalf of the NDP. The Muslim Brotherhood are mobilizing in support of independent businessman Ashraf Abu Ashraf.

14:48: NDP office temporarily closed in Qena after gun shots were fired , and clashes erupted between supporters of NDP candidate, Saied Menoufy, and independent candidate, Khaled Khalafallah in neighbouring constituency resulting in several injuries.

14:43: Around 50 activists are demonstrating now in front of the Press Syndicate against vote rigging.

14:12: Clahes in Berma constituency of Gharbeia Governorate leaving five injured.

14:05: The National Council for Human Rights says it received only 20 complaints since the opening of today’s polling stations. Most complaints were due to denying candidate’s delegates of accessing polling stations and accusations of vote buying and vote rigging.

13:56: Haram district’s NDP candidate Ahmed Sabry announces his withdrawal from the election’s rerun citing rigging in favour of fellow NDP contestant Abdel Nasser El-Gabry.

13:41: Residents of El-Saff constituency in Helwan suround El-Nour primary school as they are refused entry into polling station.

13:35: Minor clashes reported in Shobra between supporters of Wafd’s Ramy Lakah and NDP’s Fady Habashy.

13:30: Few dozen activists are holding a protest in Cairo’s Tahrir square, to protest the vote rigging.

13:29: NDP contestants in Shobra El-Kheima use private transport to move voters to polling stations amidst low voter turnout.

13:25: Hassan Sengab, NDP candidate in Mansoura is accused of vote rigging, Ahmed El-Bermawy, an election monitoring told Al-Ahram in a phone interview.

13:20: Mahalla El-Kobra’s independent candidate Ahmed Shaarawy withdraws from election re-run after his representatives were denied access to polling stations.

13:18: Police in Qena arrest 16 supporters of both independent candidate Mahmoud El-Sayah and Gamal Al-Naggar of the NDP candidate, accusing them of weapons possession.

13:14: Mohamed Sherdy is the only confirmed Wafd party candidate withdrawing from the second round election.

13:08: Three judges officially withdraw from the Higher Electoral Committee, according to State TV, Channel 1.

13:06: Clashes reported between supporters of Tagammu candidate Diaa’ Rashwan and NDP supporters in Luxor’s Armant district.

12:55: Election violations reported in Boulak El-Dakrour constituencies in Taba School and Naguib Mahfouz School.

12:40: Mohamed Selim NDP candidates’ supporters clashed with his (also NDP) competitor Nader Magdin Nasr El-Nouba district in Aswan.

12:35: Three supporters of independent candidate Seliman El-Zalout in North Sinai injured in clashes with NDP candidate supporters.

12:23: Reports of minor clashes in Alexandria’s Gomrok constituency.

12:20: Low voter turnout in Minya, even though more than 80% of its districts are witnessing a re-run. The ruling NDP is competing against it self on 18 seats.

12:00: Accusations of vote rigging in Dekrenes polling station (Dakahliya) in favor of NDP candidate Mohamed Shebeka, who is running against another NDP candidate.

11:57: Photojournalist Ahmed Abdel Fattah of Al-Masry Al-Youm has been assaulted by thugs in Kafr El-Sheikh, who stole his camera and left him bruised.

11:51: Damietta's electoral constituencies witnessed very low voters' turnout except for the constituency of Al-Zarqaa where voters' turnout was high.

11:50: Muslim Brotherhood websites (ikhwanonline and ikhwanweb) are largely inaccessible from Egypt during election rerun. The group's facebook page accuses ISP providers.

11: 35: El-Beheira’s electoral eight constituencies are witnessing low voter turnout.
