Rockets in Libya kill two Egyptians

Two Egyptians were killed in Libya's Benghazi on Tuesday when missiles fell on Al-Hawari district, reported state-owned news agency MENA.

The attack occurred during clashes between Islamist militias and forces of renegade Libyan General Khalifa Haftar, who has led several deadly assaults on jihadists.

The bodies of the slain were sent to the Libyan medical centre.

Since the 2011 revolution that ousted autocrat Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan authorities have struggled to combat brigades of former rebels and Islamist militias who have easy access to weaponry.

Earlier this week, two Egyptian workers were killed in Benghazi when six rockets intended for Benghazi special forces camp landed on the nearby private homes were the two lived.
