Unknown masked assailants attacked on Monday a police station in Egypt's coastal city of Alexandria using Molotov cocktails, reported the Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
Two police cars parked in front of the station were torched. The attackers then drove away on their motorcycle, according to a security source.
Egypt has been witnessing a wave of militant attacks against police and army since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last July and the crackdown on his supporters. Over 500 security personnel have been reported killed since.
