SCAF vows strong measures against sectarianism

Egypt's military says it will act swiftly to keep in check sectarian tension

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) has posted on Sunday a statement on their official Facebook page that they will take extreme measures against sectarianism or anything that would threaten the unity of Egypt.

In Statement No 44, SCAF said that all efforts will be directed towards ending sectarian tension, adding that Egyptians have long lived harmoniously together. SCAF said sectarian tensions only serve the interests of Egypt’s enemies.
