Four conscripts died in a road accident in Egypt's Giza on Monday according to a statement made by an interior ministry official.

The accident took place near Remaya Square and was caused by the explosion of one of the car's tires. A police officer was also injured.

According to a 2012 report by the World Health Organisation, road accidents kill 12,000 people in Egypt annually.
