Salafist Sheikh Hassan: US TV lies and Bin Laden’s assassination are thuggery

Salafist religious preacher Sheikh Mohamed Hassan doubts Bin Laden's death and warns Muslims against cheering for such news

Salafist Sheikh Mohamed Hassan said news of Bin Laden’s death needs proof as US television, the sources of information, generally lies. He added that news spread by the “enemy”, referring to the US, should always be investigated more thoroughly.

Hassan considered the killing of Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden an act of thuggery on the part of US intelligence and described it as a form of “state terrorism”, especially in the light of ongoing condemnations by the US of terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq in the name of freedom and democracy.

Hassan, talking to the “Free Egypt” program on the Hekma satellite channel, said news of Bin Laden’s body thrown in the sea makes his death even more doubtful.

Finally Hassan asked all Muslims not to cheer Bin Laden’s death, saying that he was after all a Muslim even if we disagree with some of his efforts.
