The US embassy has refuted a report published yesterday in The Washington Post claiming that American President Barack Obama will offer Egypt $1 billion in debt relief. ‎
    
The embassy said the US administration is still discussing possible ways to financially assist ‎‎Egypt, whose chronic economic difficulties have been exacerbated since the January 25 Revolution.
