Egypt's weather improves slightly on Sunday

Temperatures in Cairo rose to a high of 17 on Sunday

Egypt is expected to witness a slight improvement in the weather starting Sunday, reported the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) earlier in the day.

The Meteorological authority added in a statement issued on Sunday that the temperature in Cairo would increase three degrees to become a high 17 and a low of 9.

The authority also said the weather temperature will increase noticeably and gradually starting from Sunday till next Wednesday.

Nevertheless, EMA spokesman Wahid Saudi warned on Sunday morning in a television interview that Cairo and Nile Delta provinces would witness light rainfall in the afternoon and evening. 

Egypt was hit by a wave of bitter cold for nearly a week.
