Blast injures 4 policemen, civilian in Cairo's Alf Maskan

Alf Maskan has witnessed frequent protests and clashes between Islamist demonstrators and police or opposing locals since the ouster of Mohamed Morsi in July 2013

Four police conscripts and a woman were injured on Friday when an improvised explosive device went off in Cairo's Alf Maskan area, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

The device was planted under a private car parked near a location known for its police presence.

Alf Maskan, and the nearby Matariya and Ain Shams districts, have witnessed almost-weekly protests and clashes between Islamist demonstrators and police or opposing locals since the ouster of Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
