The wife of ousted president Hosni Mubarak, Suzanne, enabled the Illicit Profiteering ‎Committee to liquidate one of her assets and seize two of her bank accounts in an ‎attempt to avoid being sentenced to jail, according to MENA.

Suzanne was supposed to be transported to prison after receiving a 15-day detention order ‎on charges of abusing her political power to accrue illegal profits.‎

Instead, she was admitted to Sharm El-Sheikh Hospital, where her husband is currently detained. Mrs Mubarak  allegedly suffered heart problems and a nervous breakdown.‎

It was reported that she has officially given authority over ‎a villa she owns in Masr Al-Gedida (Heliopolis, Cairo) as well as two accounts in the Ahly National Bank and Société ‎Générale.
