Cairo’s Criminal Court postponed on Saturday a corruption case against Rashid Mohamed Rashid, former minister of industry, to 25 June.
Rashid is accused of using his former position as minister to illegally accumulate wealth of over LE9 million, including by subsidising food export industries of companies in which he is a shareholder.
Today was the first session of the case, which only lasted only five minutes during which the court was informed that the accused has not been notified of the case. The court decided to postpone the case until the accused is notified.
