Hundreds of citizens have organised a protest in Egypt's Nile Delta city Kafr El-Sheikh in reaction to the attack that took place earlier today leaving at least two students from the military academy dead and others injured, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

Protestors are asking the government for retribution for all the martyrs while chanting slogans "with our blood we will redeem you martyr, we demand the execution of the Brotherhood, and the execution of the terrorists."

The Muslim Brotherhood from which deposed Islamist president Mohamed Morsi hails from are frequently accused of being linked to smaller terrorist groups and of being behind the attacks that have been taking place all over Egypt.

Police personnel have been securing the protest out of fears of another attack.

In recent months, dozens of smaller bombs have been planted allegedly by militants nationwide targeting economic and industrial installations such as electricity pylons and mobile phone stores.

Militants have also placed a large number of decoy and sound bombs in various spots around the capital and other cities.
