Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to meet on Sunday the US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS John Allen, state news agency MENA reported.
The two will discuss the latest developments to the fight against the Islamic State militant group.
Egypt supports the US-led coalition against ISIS but has not taken part in military operations.
Another meeting is set to take place in New York in 27 April between Shoukry, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Gouda to discuss the developments in Yemen.
Egypt effectively participates in the Saudi-led military operation in Yemen to stop the Houthi rebels advance and secure strategic posts.
