Three judges and their driver were killed on Saturday when gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in the North Sinai city of Arish

Courts in Arish will hear their cases in Ismailia starting from Sunday, deputy justice minister Ezzat Khamis announced, after armed men killed three judges in the North Sinai city on Saturday.

Three judges and their driver were killed on Saturday when gunmen opened fire on the minibus in which they were travelling.

The judges were on their way from the city of Ismailia on the Suez Canal to attend court sessions in Arish when gunmen in three cars attacked the vehicle.

The attack comes hours after a Cairo court issued a preliminary death sentence against former president Mohamed Morsi and 105 other defendants on a range of charges, including murder.
