Egypt’s foreign minister Sameh Shoukry has said the upcoming meeting of Libyan tribal leaders in Cairo will not include other foreign countries because it is organised by the Egyptian foreign affairs council, state news agency MENA reported on Sunday.

In media statements to MENA, Shoukry added that he hoped the Libyan tribal leaders would reach to a common vision of the country's future.

Nevertheless, the UN, as well Western and Arab countries, will attend the inauguration of the meeting in Cairo late May, Shoukry said.

Shoukry is currently on a visit to Algeria where he held talks with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamraand and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal over the ongoing Libya crisis.

Algeria and Morocco are currently hosting the UN-Libyan dialogue which Egypt officially supports.
