Egypt is set to witness another day of hot weather on Monday, the meteorological authority said.
Temperatures will reach 39 degrees Celsius in Cairo and 31 in the coastal city of Alexandria, while Suez will witness a high of 40.
Egypt suffered exceptional heat on 27 May when temperatures reached 46 Celsius. However, the heat wave subsided the next day.
Amid Egypt’s ongoing power challenges, people expect a summer of blackouts as electricity cuts rise with increased consumption pressures.
