A police officer from Egypt's National Security Agency was killed on Friday in the Nile Delta governorate of Sharqiya, after a low-ranking policeman he was trying to arrest shot him, the Ahram Arabic news website reported.
The low-ranking policeman had allegedly killed three people, including former Egyptian football player Khaled Soliman, in a fight over a land in the Geziret El-Saada village, near Sharqiya's capital Zagazig, late on Thursday.
The National Security officer’s unit reportedly retaliated, and killed the low-ranking policeman.
Five people were also injured in the fight.
