Egyptian officials are expected to sit with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam to discuss bilateral relations and Syrian refugees

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday met with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam, a presidential statement has said.

Salam is also expected to sit with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to discuss bilateral relations.

In addition, Salam will meet head of the Arab League Nabil El-Araby to talk about Syrian refugees and discuss regional developments.

The latest figures by the UNHCR show that 2.2 million Syrian refuges were registered in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, 1.7 million registered by the government of Turkey, as well as 24,055 Syrian refugees registered in North Africa.
