Minister of Justice Mohamed El-Gendi summoned the three judges for questioning; they are accused of releasing "inflammatory statements" to the media without authorization.

While speaking to Al-Jazeera Mubasher TV, Hassan El-Naggar, Alaa Shawki and Ashraf Nada voiced dissatisfaction over military trials for civilians, and called on authorities to “purify” the judiciary in Egypt.

According to proceedings against the trio, their statements “threatened peace and national security” in the country, and also “insulted the military judiciary”.

Shawki was questioned a couple of days ago, El-Naggar yesterday and Nada today. The three judges were recently hosted by Al-Jazeera Mubasher together.
