Two people were killed and two others wounded on Tuesday when two motorbikes collided in the Nile Delta province of Menoufiya, state news agency MENA reported.
The collision, which took place in the town of Quesna, was due to high-speed driving, a provincial security official said.
Thousands die and tens of thousands are injured every year in car crashes in Egypt, mostly blamed on reckless driving, poorly maintained roads and loosely enforced traffic regulations.
Late in June, nine people were killed and 33 others wounded in two separate road crashes in northwest Egypt in one day.
On 14 June, 25 people were killed and over two-dozen others injured in two separate road accidents outside Cairo.
