An improvised explosive device struck a policeman's house in the North Sinai city of Al-Arish Thursday, causing the house to collapse, eyewitnesses told Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
The house was vacant at the time of the explosion. No causalities or injuries were reported.
In the last few months, assailants have targeted 14 policemen's homes in North Sinai.
Bomb attacks and shootings directed at security forces have killed hundreds of police and military personnel since 2013.
The Islamist group Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis, which pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group last year, has claimed responsibility for most attacks against security forces in Sinai.
