ISIS have announced that an affiliated group is responsible for the bomb which went off near a foreign ministry building in the Greater Cairo district of Agouza on Sunday.

A statement released by ISIS via social media on Sunday claimed that an affiliated group in Egypt was responsible for targeting the building and its security personnel with an explosive device.

Two policemen were injured in the bomb on Ahram Orabi Street, which is in the governorate of Giza but considered part of the city of Cairo.

Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis, a terrorist group based in North Sinai, officially pledged allegiance to ISIS in November 2014. It is not clear if the ISIS announcement refers to that group or another.
