Egypt’s foreign ministry released on Friday phone numbers to provide updated information on Egyptian pilgrims affected by the Mecca stampede that killed at least 717 individuals Thursday, including 14 Egyptians.

The lines are open around the clock, according to Amr Moawad, aide to the Egyptian foreign minister. He stressed that the ministry is closely following updates on Egyptian pilgrims.

So far, 31 Egyptians were reported as injured as a result of the stampede. This occurred when pilgrims converged on the site of Mena just outside Mecca to take part in the symbolic stoning of the devil that marks the last day of the hajj. The ritual involves pilgrims throwing pebbles at one of three pillars representing Satan.

An estimated 62,000 Egyptians are performing the pilgrimage this year.
