Egypt's FM to attend AU summit in Equatorial Guinea

Nabil Al-Araby will attend the African Union Summit in Equatorial Guinea before taking his role as Secretary-General of the Arab League

Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil El-Araby will head a delegation at the African Union summit in Equatorial Guinea on June 30. This will be El-Araby’s last assignment as foreign minister before he takes on his new post as Secretary-General of the Arab League.

According to Ambassador Mona Omar, assistant to the minister for African affairs, the summit will include discussions of how to empower the young in sustainable development in the light of changes sweeping through the Arab world.

The summit will also investigate several urgent issues like the role of the union and its Peace and Security Council report.
