Egypt’s interim Prime Minister Essam Sharaf clarifies his stance on important steps towards the rebuilding of the state after the revolution ousted the long-time rule of an abusive regime.
Regarding rumours of removing ministers, Sharaf left room for ministers to be reshuffled later - but not now.
Sharaf also said that his statements regarding postponing the elections and his view on the drafting of the constitution have been misunderstood. The prime minister confirmed that the timeframe set for the elections remains the same.
Sharaf had previously stated that he prefers that the constitution be drafted first, but added that it was not up to him to decide.
