Amidst current riotous clamour for the resignation of the Minister of Interior El-Eissawi after forces attacked on 28 June martyrs' families of Egypt's revolution, rumours he's actually stepped down are denied

The ministry of interior has just minutes ago denied on ONTV channel that Minister of Interior Mansour El-Eissawi has resigned, as rumoured earlier.

It was said earlier that Minister of Interior Eissawi had submitted his resignation to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and that it was accepted. The rumour was allegedly aired by the British news giant, BBC.

Many political figures and powers, including potential presidential candidate, Abdel Moneim Aboul-Fotouh demanded El-Eissawi's resignation after the violent attacks against martyrs’ families and their supporters in Tahrir Square last night, 28 June.
