The natural gas station located west of Arish exploded in the Monday early hours. ‎

The blast caused the station to catch on fire, as well as the pipeline that passes ‎through Sinai and extends to Israel and Jordan, which was attacked twice earlier ‎this year.‎

The internal pipeline was also damaged, causing a natural gas outage in Arish. No ‎casualties have been reported thus far, according to Egyptian TV.‎

Firefighters put out the flames after several hours. ‎

Many Egyptians have been protesting against exporting natural gas to Israel since toppled ‎President Hosni Mubarak’s tenure.‎

The culprits behind the previous pipeline bombings were never found.
