Prime Minister Essam Sharaf is called upon by the National Consensus Conference armed forces committee to fulfill the demands of protesters staging a sit-in in Cairo's Tahrir Square and in other cities

The Armed Forces committee of the National Consensus conference called upon Prime minister Essam Sharaf to meet the demands of protesters in Tahrir Square and around the country, especially that of restructing and purging the ministry of interior of officers accused of killing protesters.

The committee has also issued a number of recommendations to Sharaf’s cabinet, including the importance of fighting corruption and removing the remnants of the dissolved NDP in municipal bodies. The committee also warned against using certain corruption cases to appease the public while overlooking the other cases.

The committee went on to demand that the legislative and legal restrictions on NGOs be removed.

The Armed Forces committee of the National Consensus continued its meetings today.
