Egypt's electoral committee says that names of the candidates competing in the second phase of the country's parliamentary elections will be announced on Tuesday.
The first phase of the long-delayed elections concluded in 14 of the country's 27 governorates last week. The first round of the poll saw a meager turnout of 26.6 percent, while run-offs saw 21.7 percent of the electorate vote.
Name of candidates running in the second phase of the poll, which will take place on 21 and 22 November in the 13 remaining governorates, will be made public on Tuesday, 3 November, said Omar Marawan, spokesman of the High Elections Committee (HEC).
Campaigning for almost half of the parliament's 596 seats up for grabs in this phase will start on the same day and run until November 20, Marawan added.
The runoff vote, if necessary, is scheduled to take place on 1-2 December.
Egypt has been without a parliament since June 2012 when a court dissolved the body. President El-Sisi has held legislative power since taking office in June 2014.
The last parliamentary elections held in Egypt came months after the toppling of Mubarak and witnessed a turnout of 62 percent in the first round.
