Tahrir activists say Mogamma blockade will be lifted completely

The Mogamma, Egypt's largest administrative building in Tahrir Square

After intense and often fiery debate, the protesters at Tahrir have reached agreement finally to remove the blockade of the Mogamaa, Egypt's largest administrative building situated at the south-western edge of the square. Activists told Ahram Online that they have taken this decision as a show of good faith, in response to the concessions that have been made by the government and the Supreme Military Council. They insisted, however, that these concessions still fall well short of their demands, especially as concerns the serious prosecution of police officers and others implicated in the killing of the martyrs.

In order to ensure both that the promises made by the prime minister and the SCAF are fulfilled, and that the rest of the revolution's demands are achieved, the sit-in in Tahrir will go on, activists said, along with a whole range of protest actions, including marches from and to Tahrir.
