France advises its citizens against non-essential travelling to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, following the crash of a Russian passenger jet that took off from the Egyptian resort at the weekend.
The advice from the foreign ministry, updated on its website on Thursday, also concerns the town of Taba. The ministry said only "a few dozen" French citizens are currently in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The Russian jet, flying from the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed over the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday, killing all 224 people onboard.
