TV and photographers allowed to cover former minister of petroleum corruption case

This is the first, ex-regime corruption case to be made public following a recommendation by the Judicial Supreme Council

The head of Cairo's criminal court has permitted satellite television cameras and photographers to cover the case against former minister of petroleum Sameh Fahmy and the five other Egyptian oil officials accused of corruption related to gas export to Israel.

The court’s decision came as a response to theJudicial Supreme Council recommendation to make all trials of corrupt, ex-regime figures public.
