Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi strongly condemned the Friday Paris attacks in a phone call with his French counterpart Francois Hollande, saying that the attacks will not dissuade nations from combating terrorism and extremism, according to a presidential statement released Saturday.
El-Sisi also extended his condolences in the name of the Egyptian people and described the attacks as "lowly and cowardly crimes."
A state of emergency has been declared across France and borders shut down following the shootings and bombings, for which the ISIS militant group has claimed responsibility.
