The secretary-general of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice political party, Mohamed Saad El-Katatny, pointed out that the group will refrain from joining a proposed mass protest named the "Friday of Stability", which will call for an end to the sit-in in Tahrir because “what Tahrir needs now the most is to calm down and focus on delivering Egypt to the phase of stability and development.” He also warned that Tahrir’s image could be distorted as it could turn into a “tool to destroy the gains of the revolution.”
Furthermore, El-Katatny called for an end to all sin-in protests that are currently taking place all over Egypt, after the new government announces “a clear and specific vision in meeting the legitimate demands of the people”, specifying the issue of prosecuting corrupt officials and officers accused of killing protestors.
