The trial is set to take place in the South Cairo Criminal Court in the fifth settlement district.
The investigative judge of the case referred 25 persons who were accused of being involved in the incident. The names include former prominent figures of the National Democratic Party and former Parliament members.
The accused persons in the case will face charges for pre-meditated murder, as well as for organizing criminal groups targeted at protestors on 2 February.
Among the names of the accused are Safwat El-Sherif, former secretary general of the NDP and head of the former Shura Council, as well as Aisha Abdel-Hady, former minister of manpower and immigration, Ahmed Fatthy Sorour, head of the former people’s assembly and lawyer Mortada Mansour.
