Former vice president of the cassation court, Mahmoud El-Khodeiry, revealed that a set of new proceedings will be filed against deposed president Hosni Mubarak within the next few days.

Some of the new proceedings will accuse Mubarak of use of torture in detention facilities, according to El-Khodeiry, who spoke last night on OnTV.

Mubarak, 83, is currently standing trial on charges of illicit profiteering and ordering the killing of demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution.

During his tenure, torture in police stations and detention facilities became rampant.
